When can I buy one?
We are still in the R&D stage and are not selling vehicles at this time. Please sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date with our progress.

How much will they be?
We estimate the initial hand-built vehicles will retail for approx. $75,000 Canadian to start. If the alé performs at the level we anticipate, this figure may increase.

Are you crazy? Why would you charge that much for the alé?
This car will out perform almost any vehicle on the road today. Fast + sexy = expensive. We are not interested in (or capable of) competing with $20,000 vehicles produced in the millions by the large auto manufacturers. Toyota makes $250 per car. Porsche makes $28,000 per car. We would rather be a Porsche one day.

What kind of customer is the alé designed for?
Our initial target market is the high end high income customer who wants a unique, clean and crazy-fast vehicle.

Can I retro-fit a fuel vapor system onto my vehicle?
It is not cost effective to retro fit our technology to after-market vehicles. Our technology is being developed to license to OE manufactures only. We know gas is expensive, but don’t bug us about buying one to put on your 1987 F-150.

Can I invest in your company?
Yes. All of our investors to date have been private individuals. We are currently seeking a large investor/firm to enable us to accelerate our R&D, but until them we are still accepting private investors. The minimum investment is $10,000 CA and $20,000 USD. If this fits within your portfolio please provide your mailing address, day and evening phone numbers and we will send you an investor’s package for your review.

What is the main goal of the company?
Our immediate goal is to complete and win the Automotive X-Prize (AXP).
Back to Top Can you win the Automotive X-PRIZE?
We actually already won the competition, but don’t tell anyone else just yet.

How do you intend on marketing your vehicle?
To date the alé has marketed itself. Our simple marketing plan is the AXP as the extreme media coverage of this event will be global. Throw in $100+ oil, global warming, Greenland melting at an alarming rate, clean-tech investing at an all-time high, C02 emissions reductions by almost every government, and it becomes a very easy product to market and promote.

How does the fuel vapor system work?
Making fuel vapor is easy. Put an open container of gas in the hot sun you can see the vapor coming out of the container. The difficult part is managing and metering the fuel vapor… and of course we can’t get into those details.

Why 3 Wheels?
There are several reasons for this, and some are surprising:
- 3 wheels allows us:
-to design the body in more of a teardrop shape improving aerodynamics -improve fuel efficiency by reducing drag -improve cornering performance (3 wheeled vehicles actually corner much better than 4 wheeled cars) -reduce the overall body weight of the vehicle. -Build and sell vehicles much faster than if they were 4 wheeled. 4-wheeled regulations are very strict and would impede production for our small company for years. -Ultimately become profitable sooner.

What is the top speed?
The alé is a sports car and will have a top speed of much faster than you are allowed to (or should) go.

Is the alé “tippy” on corners?
No. In fact it is very stable. During our track testing we have achieved readings of over 1.7g’s while cornering. This means that when you corner in the alé the blood in your brain all goes to one side and you pass out. Just like in a fighter jet. Our tests have also found that passing out can cause the vehicle to crash into things, so we are working on a solution to that.

What is a “series” hybrid?
Most of the hybrids on the road today are parallel hybrids, meaning the gas motor and electric motor can both propel the vehicle. A series hybrid using only an electric motor to drive the vehicle with a small gas generator used to top up the battery pack when needed.
What will be the battery life and cost replacement?
We are still developing the hybrid system, so costs are still a mystery. Remember when CD players were $2000? Batteries are kind of like that right now. 2 years from now it will be a completely different story.

Will the canopy open so I can get a coffee at the drive-through?
Yes. You will also be able to open it to get fresh air too.

Are there plans for a 4-seat model of any kind in the foreseeable future?
We could tell you all of the wonderfull things we have planned, but don’t want to spoil the surprise. Be patient.

How will it work in the snow and cold climates?
We work and live in British Columbia, Canada, so cold, wet and snow are our friends. The alé likes cold and wet, but needs to stay indoors when it snows.

How do I avoid a pot-hole?
This requires special training. Who would have thought?
